Overview

This website, conflenti.com, is owned and operated by Owen Conflenti. This policy explains what information is collected when you visit the site and how it is used.

Information Collected

This site collects information only when you voluntarily submit it through the contact form. That information may include your name, email address, and message content. This data is processed through Web3Forms and delivered to us via email. We do not store form submissions on this server.

Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics to understand visitor traffic — page views, referral sources and general usage patterns. It sets its own cookies to do so. We do not use analytics to build advertising profiles, and we do not run session replay or heatmap tools on this site.

This site also uses two cookieless trackers. The Metricool tracker is a single-pixel image request carrying the page address, your browser’s window size and the site you arrived from. Ahrefs Analytics records which page was viewed and which site you arrived from. Neither sets a cookie, stores anything on your device, or identifies you, and both load for every visitor.

If another analytics tool is added, this section is updated in the same change that adds it.

Cookies

This site sets cookies for Google Analytics, as described above. We do not use cookies for advertising or to track you across other websites. Embedded players set their own cookies, under their own privacy policies rather than ours: YouTube videos set several, and Spotify podcast players set their own. These sit inside the embed and are set by YouTube and Spotify rather than by us, so they are outside anything we control on this page. If you would rather not receive them, block third-party cookies in your browser, or avoid the pages carrying an embedded player. You can block or clear cookies in your browser at any time and the site will still work.

Interactive Tools

We publish free interactive tools — calculators, quizzes, and design tools — at play.conflenti.com and occasionally elsewhere on this site. These tools run entirely inside your web browser.

When a tool invites you to add a file, such as uploading a logo to preview it in different colors and fonts, that file is never transmitted to us or to anyone else. It is read by your own browser, held in memory on your own device, and discarded the moment you close or reload the page. We never receive it, never store it, and never see it. The same is true of anything you type into a tool: names, taglines, colors, and selections all stay on your device.

These tools require no account and no login. We do not build a profile of you, and we do not save your work between visits. If you want to keep a result, use the tool's export or download option — that file is generated by your browser and saved directly to your device.

Two limited exceptions are worth naming plainly. Fonts used for previews are requested from Google Fonts, which means Google's servers receive a request for those font files in the ordinary course of loading the page. And basic, non-identifying analytics may record that a tool page was visited, in the same way as any other page on this site. Neither of these involves the contents of your work.

Separately, in the course of managing client marketing accounts we use the Instagram and Facebook Graph APIs and the YouTube Data API, and the Google Places API to display a client’s own Google rating and reviews on their website. Where access has been granted to us, we also use the Google Business Profile APIs. Those are used only on behalf of clients who have authorized us, and are covered under Client Accounts We Manage below.

Each of these services has its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review them if you have concerns.

Newsletter

The newsletter is hosted on a separate subdomain (newsletter.conflenti.com) and managed by Beehiiv. Subscribing to the newsletter is governed by Beehiiv's privacy policy and terms of service.

SMS / Text Messaging

Conflenti Media operates a text-messaging service for existing clients who contact our published business number. If you text us, we use your mobile number and the content of your messages solely to respond to you and to provide our content services — confirmations, drafts, and status updates about your content. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for help.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information may be shared with subcontractors who support the service (for example, our SMS provider) solely to operate the messaging service. All other categories of use exclude text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

Client Accounts We Manage

Conflenti Media LLC manages marketing accounts on behalf of business clients who have authorized us to do so. This section describes how we handle access to those accounts and the data we retrieve from them. It applies to our clients, not to visitors of this website.

Ownership stays with the client. Where a platform supports delegated access, the client remains the Owner of their profile and we are added as a Manager. We do not accept ownership transfer of a Google Business Profile, a Meta Page, or a domain, and we do not create a client's Business Profile under our own account.

Authorization is required, and recorded. We publish content, respond to reviews, and answer questions on a client's profiles only with that client's prior approval. Approvals are recorded against the specific item, with a timestamp. We do not automatically generate or automatically post review replies.

Access ends when the client says it ends. A client may remove our access themselves at any time, from their own account, without notifying us first. On receiving notice that an engagement has ended, we remove our access and delete the stored credentials and authorization tokens for that client's accounts within seven business days.

Clients are told when their accounts change. When we make a change to a client's profile or account settings, we notify them within 48 hours, in a message concerning that change and nothing else.

Retention is limited. Data retrieved from a third-party platform on a client's behalf is cached only for as long as needed to perform the work, and in no case for more than 30 calendar days. It is stored encrypted, used solely to operate that client's service, and is never aggregated across clients, sold, rented, or licensed. Access tokens and credentials are encrypted at rest and are never shared between clients.

No third-party access. We do not provide any third party with programmatic access to our systems or our platform credentials, and we do not resell our access to client accounts.

Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Data Sharing

Your information is never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for marketing purposes. Text-messaging opt-in and consent data is never shared with third parties or affiliates for any purpose.
